About Maghull Kickboxing and Martial Arts Academy

Hello I would like tointroduce myself, my name is Sensei Ken Dineley.I am the Senior Instructor at Maghull Kickboxing and Martial Arts Academy.
Formed in Maghull in 1997. I'm born and bred in the Maghull area. I took up kickboxing in 1987 after being forced to finish football due to cartilage problems. I fell upon kickboxing totally by accident and through a work colleague at the time.

I started training in Huyton Kickboxing Club under the instruction of Sensei Terry McElhinney ( former british Middle weight Champion) after 10 years training, I started Maghull Kickboxing and Martial Arts Academy in1997.
The club has trained a multitude of local people from all walks of life, from the age 3 to 64 and people from may walks of life, including the Police, Emergency Services we can also add to the list the Territorial Army, Airline cabin crew and Southport FC.
The academy since 2001 has undergone an annual charity challenge(everyone welcome) raising funds for worthwhile and needy causes

The club aims to teach people how to defend themselves and build their own confidence and ability a must in todays hectic and energetic world that we live in. You will learn many different martial arts including Kick ,Thai boxing, Jujitsu and Karate to name but a few.
We also teach students how to discipline themselves and to behave in the correct and law abiding way. All students are encouraged to learn at their own pace and are not forced to do anything they feel uncomfortable with.
The club's philosophy is that no one is better than anyone else ad to do our utmost to help people and the community where ever we can. Students that turn up on their own and be amongst friends.

We also operate a "Total Anti Drug and Anti Bullying Policy"
